Job Summary
Location: Mount Morris, PA
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITIES:
- Maintain the yard in working order and clean any and all debris or garbage at all times.
- Unload and load trucks as they come in, in a timely manner.
- Keep all equipment clean and maintained, including the engine compartment and inside the cab.
- Ensure that all equipment is locked down for the evening at the end of the shift.
- Run the sweeper when needed to keep the outside clean and orderly.
- Must have working knowledge and training to run all equipment on MTS property.
- Adhere to all safety checks and procedures, prior to operating any piece of equipment.
- Communicate with Shop Supervision about any unsafe working conditions.
- Communicate to the Maintenance Supervision of equipment that needs to be repaired and fixed.
- Communicate with office personnel on trash bins and dumpsters when they need to be switched out.
- Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, meetings, workshops, etc.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Performs work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and follow directions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job duties consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Frequent walking and/or standing is required.
- Frequent bending, pushing/pulling, lifting/carrying of parts.
- Ability to work safely and adhere to the Swanson Safety System in daily job duties.
