Job Summary

Location:Morgantown, WV

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITIES:

  1. Assists with reviewing manufacturing processes, identify, and develop opportunities for process improvement or efficiency optimization.
  2. Plan, organize, and drive facility results through performance metrics, budgeting, and forecasting.
  3. Balance business capability with customer needs and demand.
  4. Allocate and manage resources (labor, capacity, and materials) to optimize productivity.
  5. Improve organization’s financial performance and competitive positioning through continuous improvement of production related processes.
  6. Establishes quality and safety standards and tracks organizational performance.
  7. Manage relationships with customers related to the product line.
  8. Search for new ideas and ways to improve the provision of products and services seeking to maximize profitability and customer service.  Stay aware of and aggressive toward competitive products activities.
  9. Assist in the management of relationships with vendors relaying and/or resolving problems quickly and efficiently.
  10. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, meetings, workshops, etc.
  11. Perform related duties as assigned.
  12. Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    1. Must have Technical or Business-Related college degree. Product Management experience preferred.
    2. Must have minimum of ten (10) years of experience in manufacturing and operations.
    3. Knowledge in ISO 9001:2015 and Lean Manufacturing.
    4. Performs work under minimal supervision.
    5. Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to operations employees.
    6. Ability to work as part of a team.
    7. Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
    8. Proven ability to meet deadlines and follow directions.
    9. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    1. Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job duties consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
    2. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
    3. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
    4. Frequent walking and/or standing is required.
    5. Frequent bending, pushing/pulling, lifting/carrying and manual manipulation of hydraulic cylinder components.
    6. Ability to work safely and adhere to the Swanson Safety System in daily job duties.
