Job Summary

Location: Morgantown, WV

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Prepare, analyze, and review the financial statements using accounting principles.
  2. Performs month-end closing duties including journal entries, month-end reporting, analysis, and reconciliations.
  3. Responsible for inventory reporting, cost updates, transaction controls, excess and obsolete reserve analysis.
  4. Coordinates annual physical inventory as well as assists in cycle count program implementation.
  5. Completes ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required.
  6. Performs monthly revenue recognition in accordance with ASC606.
  7. Assist with annual audit preparations.
  8. Reconcile monthly bank statements.
  9. Updates the weekly cash forecast.
  10. Maintains, controls, and updates price lists in ERP system.
  11. Reconcile quarterly rebates and royalties.
  12. Responsible for General Ledger maintenance and control.
  13. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, meetings, workshops, etc.
  14. Perform related duties as assigned by Controller.
  15. Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  2. Must have minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounting; Manufacturing accounting experience preferred.
  3. Must have General Ledger experience.
  4. Must be able to handle multiple projects, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
  5. Performs work under minimal supervision.
  6. Ability to work as part of a team.
  7. Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  8. Proven ability to meet deadlines and follow directions.
  9. Advance computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, ERP system, and report/query development.

  1. Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job duties consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  2. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  3. Ability to work safely and adhere to the Swanson Safety System in daily job duties.
