Job Summary

Location:Morgantown, WV

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Provide necessary training to all workforce associated with the Longwall shop.
  2. Schedule the longwall shop’s workflow and workforce based on expected project deliveries.
  3. Meet with customers to define scope of work on larger repair projects.
  4. Edit the Longwall shop production schedule as projects open and close.
  5. Document incoming rebuild projects to identify missing or nonstandard components and incorporate into scope of supply.
  6. Audit projects upon completion to ensure the entire scope of work has been completed and all paperwork is in order.
  7. Meet with customers during final inspections to insure we have met their needs.
  8. Quote any price changes to the customer at time of final inspection.
  9. Coordinate with mines on shipping arrangements for pump stations.
  10. Provide technical and/or production support for sales, customer service, purchasing, and field service.
  11. Contribute to design reviews on new pump stations, repairs, and upgrades.
  12. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, meetings, workshops, etc.
  13. Perform related duties as assigned.
  14. Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Must have minimum of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing/operations.
  3. Must have minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience.
  4. Experience managing in a union environment preferred.
  5. Strong leadership and communication skills.
  6. Effective organization, planning, and time management skills.
  7. Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  8. Proven ability to meet deadlines and follow directions.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job duties consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  2. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  3. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
  4. Frequent walking and/or standing is required.
  5. Frequent bending, pushing/pulling, lifting/carrying of parts.
  6. Ability to work safely and adhere to the Swanson Safety System in daily job duties.
