We are looking for Machinists, Mechanics and Welders for our new facility in Madisonville, Kentucky!
Machinist – Ability to efficiently and productively operate an engine lathe and the majority of all machines in the cylinder repair shop. Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings, to read micrometers, and work within required machining tolerances and possess a working of the repair procedures and tolerances for conventional and long-wall hydraulic cylinders.
Mechanic – Diagnose, adjust, repair, overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Uses hand tools, power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments to repair and maintain, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment.
Welder – Responsible for the repair and fabrication work for various types of mining equipment. Welds metal parts or components together, using brazing, gas, or arc welding equipment. Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes and increases size of metal parts, using welding equipment. Reviews layouts, blueprints, diagrams, or work orders in preparation for welding or cutting metal components.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing and operations.
3. Performs work under minimal supervision.
4. Ability to work as part of a team.
5. Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
6. Proven ability to meet deadlines and follow directions.
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job duties consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
Frequent walking and/or standing is required.
Frequent bending, pushing/pulling, lifting/carrying of parts.
Ability to work safely and adhere to the Swanson Safety System in daily job duties.
