Job Summary

Location:Morgantown, WV

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  2. Estimate project costs and perform analysis to ensure validity of estimates.
  3. Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to collect historical cost data.
  4. Coordinate with manufacturing, sales, and suppliers to gather all costs and submit quotes to customers.
  5. Develop engineering guidelines for machines and testing equipment, as necessary.
  6. Assist with measuring parts and creating sketches.
  7. Provide design engineering support.
  8. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  9. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, meetings, workshops, etc.
  10. Perform related duties as assigned.
  11. Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

      Qualifications

      EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

      1. Experience using AutoCAD and Inventor software.
      2. Associate degree in Engineering, or other related field preferred.
      3. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
      4. Two (2) years’ experience in engineering or working in manufacturing environment.
      5. Two (2) years’ experience in cost engineering or cost estimating.
      6. Experience with procurement preferred.
      7. Perform work under minimal supervision.
      8. Ability to work as part of a team.
      9. Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
      10. Proven ability to meet deadlines and follow directions.
      11. Advanced level of computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and other Office Programs.

       PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

      1. Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job duties consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
      2. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
      3. Ability to work safely and adhere to the Swanson Safety System in daily job duties.
      4. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
